SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In here this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
